Definition The route of administration drug by which a drug taken into the body via the Gastrointestinal Tract and then it absorbs to the blood. It can be classified into three categories.
Categories
- Oral - Consumption of drug by mouth
- Rectal - Insertion of drug into the rectum
- Sublingual - Placement of drug under the tongue
