Definition The route of administration drug by which a drug taken into the body via the Gastrointestinal Tract and then it absorbs to the blood. It can be classified into three categories.

Categories

  1. Oral - Consumption of drug by mouth
  2. Rectal - Insertion of drug into the rectum
  3. Sublingual - Placement of drug under the tongue
