Template documentationThis template has two parameters:
- {{{1}}} is the name of the square, e.g. "h3", "d6", etc.
- {{{2}}} is the piece identifier, e.g. "rQ", "yN", "gP", etc.
The template produces alt text for occupied squares, e.g. "h1 red king". Empty squares have no alt text (they emit |link= to fit with alt text guidelines).
