Used in a category to hide a namespace and/or prefix that is standard to all the members of the category, for improving readability.
Usage
[edit source]{{hide prefix|prefix to be hidden}}
Using {{hide prefix|Template:}} in a category with templates will remove Template: from the links to all of them. See, for instance, Category:Text formatting templates.
