Template:Sec link image/doc

From Wikibooks, open books for an open world

This is the {{sec link image}} template. It works like {{sec link auto}}, but without any surrounding brackets. It is meant to be used for links inside images. Like this:

[[File:Commons-logo.svg| link={{sec link image|commons|Special:Search}} |40x40px]]

This template is meant to be used in pair with {{sec link auto}}. Use {{sec link auto}} to make a text link, and use {{sec link image}} to link the image to the same target.

Warning! You may only link images that are Public Domain or owned by the Wikimedia Foundation. Almost all other images have licenses that require author attribution and a statement of what license they use, thus all other images need to keep the default linking to their image page. And you should only link the Wikimedia Foundation images to Wikimedia relevant things, like a search on another Wikimedia project.

Parameters

[edit source]
{{sec link image
| commons/wikt/en/de/...   <!--Project prefix-->
| Pagename
| lang = en/de/ru/...
| query = a=1&b=2
| anchor =
}}

See {{sec link auto}} for a detailed description of the parameters. But this template doesn't use the "text" and "padlock=no/yes" parameters.
