Template:Spanish by Choice/Newline
Appearance
This template is used to add extra newlines to adjust page breaks in Image:Spanish_by_Choice_SpanishPod_Lessons.pdf. Please make sure that you know very well what you are doing when you modify this template! In particular, make sure that the <noinclude> tag is in the first line except for short periods of time when you generate a PDF.
The work flow to generate a PDF is this:
- move the <noinclude> tag in {{SbcNewline}} to the second line
- uncomment the table of conents with page numbers in the Spanish_by_Choice/SpanishPod_lessons/Print_version and comment out the table of contents without page numbers
- generate a PDF from the Print version Spanish_by_Choice/SpanishPod_lessons/Print_version, for example with the PDF printing of FireFox on MacOS X (letter format, centered page number)
- adjust the {{SbcNewline}} templates in the lessons to ensure nice page breaks
- iterate the PDF generation and the adjustment of the {{SbcNewline}} templates until you are satisfied (don't be too pedantic but at least avoid page breaks after section headings)
- correct the page numbers in the table of contents and generate the PDF once more
- postprocess the PDF (compression, web preview) and upload the PDF to Wikibooks
- comment out the table of contents with page numbers in the Spanish_by_Choice/SpanishPod_lessons/Print_version and uncomment the table of contents without page numbers
- move the <noinclude> tag in {{SbcNewline}} to the first line
