Introduction

The Four Guardians are the four compass direction giants in The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. These giants used to be friends with the playful Skull Kid until a call to order forced them to abandon their friend and fulfill their Oath. The Skull Kid becomes enraged, and, powered by the mask, seals the Four Guardians inside the bodies of four savage beasts that were already sealed inside four temples.

Endgame

When Link frees the giants, they help him out by holding up the moon before it can destroy Termina, but the moon was alive; controlled by Majora. The moon swallows Link. Inside them moon, Link fights against the disturbing manifestation of the demon, Majora. Link kills Majora, freeing the Skull Kid from its savage control. The giants destroy the evil moon and go their separate ways. The Skull Kid, later revealed to be the same one Link taught Saria's Song to, stays in the fields near Clock Town to play with his fairy friends.
