Writing for Trainz Asset Management and Maintenance poses some challenges for how are our contributors to know the skills knowledge in OS-HowTo or education and background of Trainz Users—who span the gamete from children to elderly railway workers and other retirees who had no job experience with computers, computing and only have a computer because of Trainz. The tutorials here are fundamental heavily illustrated HowTo techniques that even the Savvy computer professionals sometimes overlook. We intend to give you the computer skills Know-how to manage Trainz —and perhaps even improve your whole life-skills set here.

Want Ad - Someone with good assets repair or creation experience and with Trainz Mac-I or Mac-II that is selfless enough to add parallel HowTo articles with our Windows pages. Yesterdayz-Trainz, who have undertaken the revision of this work since June 2013 can use a contributing partner! Membership is optional, but as a group focused in part on an Trainz educational mission, Mac owners need some loving too!

Windows skills

These pages will be focused as much as possible on a variety of tools applications, but will most often be illustrated with Notepad++ as the editor, and other Freeware applications like Open Office (esp. Writer and Calc). One feature of the editor and Open Office is custom colorization, or 'reskinning' in Trainz parlance, 'skins' in the vernacular— as one likes—so don't let my choices as the lead editor in these tutorials affect your liking or not. - Fra nkB 21:34, 5 September 2014 (UTC)
