Statement

It has come to my attention that there has been allegations that I was forced to quit WMAU in August 2019, this was not the case. I had been the Treasurer for three terms, I had fixed most of the issues that the Committee as a whole had identified which had taken just over two years to deal with, which included completing the move from Bendigo Bank to Westpac in Xero. I had stated to the Committee and members of WMAU that 2018/19 term would be my last as Treasurer due to the time required for the role and would like some new faces rather then the same old year in and year out people in the same position.

For the 2019/20 AGM I had been nominated for the Secretary position, it was stated that this was my last term on Committee in June of 2020, I had been busy with the bush fires from October 2019 through to the end of January 2020, work from March 2020 and the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, I needed a break. This also allowed for some new faces on Committee to join but also positions filed by Committee members who haven’t been in the role before.

WMAU is in a better position now then it ever has been thanks to the all the Committee members since October 2017.
