From Wikibooks, open books for an open world

My name is David Biesack. I work at SAS Institute, Inc.

On WikiBooks, I'm contributing to the Java Programming module, which I helped form as an alternative to the Programming:Java module which needed work and reorganization.

Most recently, I've been working on a replacement for Java Programming/First Java Program; see my draft /First Java Program.

I've been developing in Java since 1996. I served on the JSR 201 expert group which added new language syntax to Java (enhanced for loops, type safe enums, static imports, autoboxing).
