When I'm tired of user script development, history merging, and looking for spambots in Special:RecentChanges, one activity I like to do that isn't very rewarding, but is very fun, is old page patrolling (OPP). This consists of looking for extremely old vandalistic pages. I do this by looking through Special:AncientPages, Special:UnwatchedPages, and by running search queries for words commonly used in vandalism (e.g. "fuck", "gay", "THE BEST").
Statistics
[edit | edit source]- Longest undetected vandalism to a talk page: 19 years (9 February 2006 to 9 February 2025)
Subpages
[edit | edit source]This page also serves as a hub for the most insane things I find while engaging in OPP. Below is a list of subpages of this page, each of which is an example.
