Hi, I'm a Singaporean born after 1965, and am currently engaged in a PhD in Law at the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom. My research involves looking into theories of interpreting bills of rights.
Before embarking on this adventure in a bid to try to get into academia, I studied law at the National University of Singapore, and worked as a litigation lawyer for about six years. I then left legal practice to do a Master of Laws (LLM) at University College London, and worked for a year and a half at the Singapore Academy of Law.
While not despairing over my PhD, I am interested in reading, watching films, visiting museums and art galleries, carrying out family history research, and getting involved in heritage activities.
