Blessed be the God of David who teaches my hands to war and my fingers to fight.

About me

I have a bachelor's degree in en:w:Urban and Regional Planning. I have a very keen abiding interest in tourist attractions, photography and cultural heritages, as well as a burning passion for Open education and Open access.

My work

I have been a Wikipedian since 2017 but officially created an account in 2021, and I edit with the username "en:w:User:OTim75". I am a founding-member of Wikimedia User Group Nigeria/Wikimedia Fan Club, University of Ilorin, and since its inception, I have been learning about how to contribute to wikipedia and its sister project. Owing to my adequate knowledge of Wikimedia projects, I have helped to organize and co-facilitated several photo walks, edit-a-thons and contests in Nigeria.

I have participated in and coordinated several Wikimedia projects, events and workshops, some of which include: Info-tourism and Wellness, Wikipedia Awareness in Ilesa, Wikidata For Tourism in Nigeria, and Wikidata of Media Personalities in Nigeria, amongst others. I'm also a founding member of Osun Wikimedia Network and currently serving as the vice president of the Network.

My major goal is to make sure that the wide content gap and systemic bias that exist, especially in relation to the African continent is solved and showcasing the beauty of Africa's culture to the rest of the world. To achieve this, I aim to raise the awareness of Wikipedia and its sister projects (and other Open projects) as much as is practically possible, in Nigeria, so we can get more people to contribute from my country.
