From Wikibooks, open books for an open world

I am an Assistant Professor of Linguistics at the University of California, Los Angeles. My area of specialization is phonology -- the study of the mental organization of speech sounds in the languages of the world. I am specifically interested in the following topics: the relationship between speech perception and phonotactics, language acquisition in general, word and UR learning in particular, computational phonology, agent-based modelling of language change, quantitative/statistical modelling of cognitive processes, Korean phonology. --R.daland (discusscontribs) 20:13, 24 November 2014 (UTC)
