Due to a severe shortage of time, I am no longer able to be an active member of the Wikibooks project. Please see my page for more details about my absense. I will continue to monitor my talk page for correspondence and will try to reply quickly when possible.

The Wikibooks Page Evaluator (WEP) is a prototype w:Expert system for use in determining whether a book or page from Wikibooks should be deleted. WEP downloads the book or page in question for analysis, and asks the operator a series of questions about the book, it's contents, it's status, etc. As a result, WEP will produce both a recommendation about the fate of the book (keep, delete, transwiki, etc), and a suitable justification as to why that recommendation was made.

WEP was started as a class project, and I am working now to make it more robust, and more useful. I would like to start testing it on real-life deletion decisions, and eventually release the code to the public for further use, testing, and modification.
