Using GNOME/Force Quit

Force Quit is an action applet that it used to deal with crashed and non-responding applications by forcing them off the screen. It allows you to deal with them in just two clicks. This is often useful when beta testing applications and it crashes on you.

To add to the panel, select Add (Some systems use "Add to Panel..."), Actions, Force Quit. It will appear as a Window icon with a large red cross on it.

To use.

  1. Click the "Force Quit" button.
  2. Click the Application to wish to quit.
