State Water Resources Research Institutes

The U.S. Geological Survey provides annual funding for 54 Water Resources Research Institutes or Centers, one in each of the 50 states and 4 territories. State institutes commonly provide: an annual list of state water research priorities, funding for water research projects consistent with the priorities, a newsletter or website, conferences, links to key water organizations around the state, and other services in support of the water resources community in the state.
