Algeria is a country in Northern Africa. Algiers is the country's biggest city. Algeria is the tenth-largest country in the world, and the largest by area in the African Union and the Arab world, while having one of the largest military forces in Africa and the largest defence budget.

Geography

Algeria has a coast on the Mediterranean Sea. A large portion of central and southern Algeria is covered by the Sahara Desert. The Sahara Desert is a vast desert stretching across most of North Africa. It is not very habitable, with only an extremely small amount of people living in it, despite its extreme size.
