Description:
This plant lives in ponds, in the shallow parts of lakes, and in slow moving streams. The flower is famous for its lovely scent. Long stems grow from the roots and stretch all the way to the surface of the water where the leaves and flowers float. The leaves are very round with a notch in them. The stem attaches to the bottom of this notch, near the center of the leaf. The flowers have bright yellow stamens (stay-minz) in the center surrounded by lots of white petals. Quick Facts: |
