Description:
Sandspurry is a tiny flower that grows close to the ground. Most people do not even notice it as they walk by. It grows along the edges of sidewalks and streets and can survive mowing. The flowers have five purple petals, with green leaf-like parts called sepals (see-pulls) between them. In the center of the flower are yellow parts which is where the seeds are made.

Quick Facts:
Sandspurry blooms in early spring and the flowers persist well into Autumn.
