Lemon-pepper is a spice blend.

Characteristics

[edit | edit source]

The spice blend is, at its core, a fairly simple combination of dehydrated lemon zest and black pepper.[1][2][3][4] Depending on the recipe or manufacturer, the blend may also contain things like salt, preservatives, garlic and onion powders, and citric acid.[2][3][4]

Selection and storage

[edit | edit source]

As for other dried spice blends, store lemon pepper in an airtight container away from light, heat, and moisture. It will lose flavor and aroma over time.[3]

Lemon pepper is popular with meat and seafood as a seasoning.[1]
