Monkey bread is a type of sweet pull-apart bread, typically flavored with cinnamon sugar.

Ingredients

Bread

  • 4 cans of biscuit dough, each biscuit cut into quarters
  • ¾ cup white granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Glaze

Procedure

  1. Combine cinnamon and sugar for rolling.
  2. Roll biscuit sections in sugar mixture, placing in greased bundt pan or high-sided cake pan. Do not pack tightly.
  3. Bring glaze ingredients to a boil, then pour over the dough in the pan.
  4. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 40–50 minutes.
  5. Invert onto plate, and serve warm.
