Sweet rice is a rice pudding that can be served hot or cold.

Ingredients

Procedure

[edit | edit source]
  1. Bring water to a boil. Add rice, and boil until very soft. Most of the water should be absorbed by the rice. Add more water if necessary.
  2. Add evaporated milk, condensed milk, cinnamon sticks, and vanilla essence.
  3. Cook over medium heat, stirring once in a while to prevent sticking, until mixture has thickened and reached a pudding-like consistency.
  4. Remove from heat, and stir in raisins.
  5. Let stand.
