Core War
Appearance

Core War is a programming game, based around a variation of assembly language known as Redcode. In a standard game of Core War, two or more programs are placed in a circular region of memory with the objective of causing the other program to fail.
The Redcode language was first described in a 1984 publication, Core War Guidelines, and was since updated with new instructions in a draft released in 1994.
