Why Equianalgesic Tables are Broken

[edit | edit source]

Most equianalgesic tables assume that one can use the same ratio to convert to and from any two opioids. However, these ratios are not always accurate bidirectionally.

For a good summary of why equianalgesic tables are inaccurate at best, please read "Opioid Equianalgesic Tables are Broken" by Daniel Rosielle on Pallimed.org.
