Quest for Glory
Quest for Glory is a series of computer games that hybridize the adventure and role-playing genres. Five games in the series were produced by Sierra On-Line. The first four games' hybridness tended more towards adventure than role-playing, while the fifth and final game turned the scale more towards role-playing than adventure.
Outside of the official games, there were also fan versions of spinoffs, a semi-sequel, and even a VGA remake of the second game (the only one in the series lacking an official VGA version).
The first game in the series was originally titled Hero's Quest I: So You Want To Be a Hero?, but the name of the series was changed with subsequent editions of the game.
