Hello, I'm a New Englander, currently residing in Izmir, Turkey. You can find more about me (most of it written when in a bad mood while living in Korea; I can't be bothered to fix it) over at the English Wikipedia. I am also somewhat active over at the Commons, where I mostly use other people's hard work on blank maps to make other maps.
Stuff I should do
[edit | edit source]Language Education
[edit | edit source]- Subject:Language education (possibly new book on research, possibly add research to existing articles).
- How to Teach a Language, sub pages:
Linguistics
[edit | edit source]I ought to do some work on linguistics textbooks too.
- Linguistics: I need to look this over and see what should be done.
- African American Vernacular English: Poor, pathetic little book. Fortunately, I actually studied this a bit in college.
- How Language Works: Apparently this is based on a book released under the GPDL. Which was subsequently deleted, I assume because of the dual-licensing issue. The idea might be worth salvaging, or may not.
- Psycholinguistics: Now this... This is my element! Yet it's completely empty.
- Introduction to Linguistics: This, and Scrapebook Linguistics seem to overlap with Linguistics. They may be worth merging.
Languages
[edit | edit source]Turkish
[edit | edit source]- Turkish needs to be more conversational, more examples and exercises.
- Turkish/Lesson One - Greetings
- Turkish/Lesson Two - I am... Also, move most countries to new list.
- Turkish/Lesson Three - Asking Questions... -> How much is this?
- Turkish/Lesson Four - Are you busy today? -> What are you doing?
- Turkish/Postpositions It's easy enough to get started, but I'm going to bed.
- Turkish/Computing_in_Turkish#Using_these_keyboard_layouts_on_your_computer -> Maybe dig up links for Ubuntu instructions. Can't imagine anyone else using Linux would need them.
- Turkish/Lesson Six - Geography of Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus When I'm autoconfirmed, might move to shorter "Geography of Turkey and the TRNC"
- Turkish/Lesson Six - Geography of Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus/Turkey First three need work, last three need making.
- Turkish/Lesson Six - Geography of Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus/Turkey/Marmara bölgesi
- Turkish/Lesson Six - Geography of Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus/Turkey/Ege bölgesi
- Turkish/Lesson Six - Geography of Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus/Turkey/Karadeniz bölgesi

Georgian
[edit | edit source]- Georgian when it's finally imported
You can give your feedback about this page on the talk page.
Other
[edit | edit source]- Man, but is Malay poorly done.
- Greenlandic. Likewise, I won't get to it anytime soon, if ever.
- Aymara: same deal. Maybe someday.
Cookbook
[edit | edit source]- Cookbook
- Category:Meat Recipes
- Cookbook:Alligator
- Cookbook:Beaver
- Cookbook:Opossum
- Cookbook:Raccoon
- Cookbook:Snapping Turtle
- Cookbook:Squirrel (It's blue, but there's nothing here)
- Category:Meat Recipes
Other Stuff
[edit | edit source]- Wikijunior stories (only WJ is nonfiction, I'll try asking permission)
- Ideas
- Travel Guide. Can we do this? More narrative style than WikiTravel. Of course there's already a lot out there, may be completely unnecessary.
