Ieremia Movilă (1595-1606). Occupied the throne with the Polish support, later he was recognised by the Turks as Moldova´s ruler, under the condition to pay regularly the tribute.

Ştefan Tomsa (1611-1615, 1621-1623). Attempted to limit the interference of major boyars into the state policy, with whom he had permanent altercations. Was executed by the Polish in Lvov.

Radu Mihnea (1616-1619, 1623-1626). A peaceful and culture-loving ruler. Erected the monastery Radu Vodă in Bucharest. Brought many Greek scholars into the country, the fact that led to a reaction from the boyars.
