ZynAddSubFX is a free and powerful software synthesizer. It includes three main synth engines and many effects. It has MIDI and VST interfaces.
The main engines are named:
- ADsynth which uses the additive synthesis technique, basically adding sine waves together to create instrument timbres.
- SUBsynth which uses the subtractive synthesis technique.
- PADsynth which is based on a new algorithm made by ZynAddSubFX author, Paul Nasca.
