This skit can be done on a small or large stage. It can be done in a classroom setting with regular paper sized props or a full-church performance with costumes and full-size props. Make it fit your classroom or church need. The purpose is so the children will learn the life of Noah.

—————————————————————————————————-
Narrator: These are the records of the generations of Noah. (Noah enters)
Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his time; Noah walked with God. Noah became the father of three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth. (enter Shem, Ham, and Japheth, as they are named)
(A child holds a large cardboard Earth or a globe, with a frown on it) Now the earth was corrupt in the sight of God, and the earth was filled with violence. God looked on the earth, and behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way upon the earth.
God: (to Noah) The end of all flesh has come before Me; for the earth is filled with violence because of them; and behold, I am about to destroy them with the earth. Make for yourself an ark of gopher wood; you shall make the ark with rooms, and shall cover it inside and out with pitch.
(Noah can be building the ark as God is saying it. The ark can be made of cardboard or posterboard. Place the parts as God is talking about them: window, door, decks, etc.)
God: This is how you shall make it: the length of the ark three hundred cubits, its breadth fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits. You shall make a window for the ark, and finish it to a cubit from the top; and set the door of the ark in the side of it; you shall make it with lower, second, and third decks.
(other children can bring in posters of water)
God: Behold, I, even I am bringing the flood of water upon the earth, to destroy all flesh in which is the breath of life, from under heaven; everything that is on the earth shall perish.
God: But I will establish My covenant with you; and you shall enter the ark-you and your sons and your wife, and your sons’ wives with you.
(children can carry posters of animals across the stage)
God: And of every living thing of all flesh, you shall bring two of every kind into the ark, to keep them alive with you; they shall be male and female. Of the birds after their kind, and of the animals after their kind, of every creeping thing of the ground after its kind, two of every kind will come to you to keep them alive.
(Noah’s wife, sons, and daughters-in-law can carry baskets/bowls of food across the stage.)
God: As for you, take for yourself some of all food which is edible, and gather it to yourself; and it shall be for food for you and for them.
Narrator: Thus Noah did; according to all that God had commanded him, so he did.
- b. Abraham God calls Abram
This is a skit portraying the story of Abram and the birth of Isaac is promised as written in Genesis 15, 17, & 18. It is written directly from the Bible, only putting in a few directorial cues, which are written in parenthesis. This skit can be performed as simply as having your students read the script in class, or as extravagant as having costumes and scenery
Characters:
Narrator
God
Abram/Abraham
Sarah
3 Men
Props:
stars
tent
tree
picture of calf
bucket (for milk)
Narrator: The Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying,
God: Do not fear, Abram, I am a shield to you; Your reward shall be very great.
Abram: O Lord God, what will You give me, since I am childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus? Since You have given no offspring to me, one born in my house is my heir.
God: This man will not be your heir; but one who will come forth from your own body, he shall be your heir.”
Narrator: And He took him outside.
God: Now look toward the heavens, and count the stars, if you are able to count them. So shall your descendants be.
Narrator: Then he believed in the Lord; and He reckoned it to him as righteousness.
Narrator: Now when Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to Abram.
God: I am God Almighty; Walk before Me, and be blameless. I will establish My covenant between Me and you, And I will multiply you exceedingly.
Narrator: Abram fell on his face, and God talked with him.
God: As for Me, behold, My covenant is with you, And you will be the father of a multitude of nations. No longer shall your name be called Abram, But your name shall be Abraham; For I have made you the father of a multitude of nations. I will make you exceedingly fruitful, and I will make nations of you, and kings will come forth from you. I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and to your descendants after you. I will give to you and to your descendants after you, the land of your sojournings, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.
God: As for Sarai your wife, you shall not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall be her name. I will bless her, and indeed I will give you a son by her. Then I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of peoples will come from her.
Narrator: Then Abraham fell on his face and laughed.
Abraham: (to himself) Will a child be born to a man one hundred years old? And will Sarah, who is ninety years old, bear a child?
Abraham: (to God) Oh that Ishmael might live before You!
God: No, but Sarah your wife will bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac; and I will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant for his descendants after him. As for Ishmael, I have heard you; behold, I will bless him, and will make him fruitful and will multiply him exceedingly. He shall become the father of twelve princes, and I will make him a great nation. But My covenant I will establish with Isaac, whom Sarah will bear to you at this season next year.
Narrator: When He finished talking with him, God went up from Abraham.
Narrator: Now the Lord appeared to him by the oaks of Mamre, while he was sitting at the tent door in the heat of the day.
(Three men enter)
Narrator: When he lifted up his eyes and looked, behold, three men were standing opposite him; and when he saw them, he ran from the tent door to meet them and bowed himself to the earth.
Abraham: My Lord, if now I have found favor in Your sight, please do not pass Your servant by. Please let a little water be brought and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree; and I will bring a piece of bread, that you may refresh yourselves; after that you may go on, since you have visited your servant.
Man 1: So do, as you have said.
Narrator: So Abraham hurried into the tent to Sarah.
Abraham: Quickly, prepare three measures of fine flour, knead it and make bread cakes.
Narrator: Abraham also ran to the herd, and took a tender and choice calf and gave it to the servant, and he hurried to prepare it. He took curds and milk and the calf which he had prepared, and placed it before them; and he was standing by them under the tree as they ate.
Man 2: Where is Sarah your wife?
Abraham: There, in the tent.
Man 2: I will surely return to you at this time next year; and behold, Sarah your wife will have a son.
Narrator: And Sarah was listening at the tent door, which was behind him. Now Abraham and Sarah were old, advanced in age; Sarah was past childbearing.
Sarah: (laughing to herself) After I have become old, shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?
Man 1: (to Abraham) Why did Sarah laugh, saying, ‘Shall I indeed bear a child, when I am so old?’ Is anything too difficult for the Lord? At the appointed time I will return to you, at this time next year, and Sarah will have a son.
Sarah: (denying it) I did not laugh.
Narrator: She said that because she was afraid.
Man 1: No, but you did laugh.
Narrator: Then the men rose up from there, and looked down toward Sodom; and Abraham was walking with them to send them off.
- c. Moses Moses Talks with God
This skit was written directly from the NASB version of Exodus 3. This can be used in a class setting reading from the script or as a full skit in front of an audience with costumes and props.
Suggested props would be: sheep, shepherd’s staff, burning bush
Characters: Narrator, Moses, God’s voice (someone reading the script from the side)
The children are to act it out as it people are saying their lines in the script. The narrator gives direction when the characters aren’t speaking.
—————————————————————————————————-
Narrator: Now it came about in the course of those many days that the king of Egypt died. And the sons of Israel sighed because of the bondage, and they cried out; and their cry for help because of their bondage rose up to God. So God heard their groaning; and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. God saw the sons of Israel, and God took notice of them.
Now Moses was pasturing the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian; and he led the flock to the west side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. The angel of the Lord appeared to him in a blazing fire from the midst of a bush; and he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, yet the bush was not consumed.
Moses: I must turn aside now and see this marvelous sight, why the bush is not burned up.
God’s Voice: Moses, Moses!
Moses: Here I am.
God’s Voice: Do not come near here; remove your sandals from your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground. (Moses complies)
God’s Voice: I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.
Narrator: Then Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look at God.
God’s Voice: I have surely seen the affliction of My people who are in Egypt, and have given heed to their cry because of their taskmasters, for I am aware of their sufferings. So I have come down to deliver them from the power of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and spacious land, to a land flowing with milk and honey. Therefore, come now, and I will send you to Pharaoh, so that you may bring My people, the sons of Israel, out of Egypt.
Moses: Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the sons of Israel out of Egypt?
God’s Voice: Certainly I will be with you, and this shall be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall worship God at this mountain.
Moses: Behold, I am going to the sons of Israel, and I will say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you.’ Now they may say to me, ‘What is His name?’ What shall I say to them?
God’s Voice: I AM WHO I AM. Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you. Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, ‘The Lord, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.’ This is My name forever, and this is My memorial-name to all generations. Go and gather the elders of Israel together and say to them, ‘The Lord, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, has appeared to me, saying, I am indeed concerned about you and what has been done to you in Egypt. So I said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt to the land of the Canaanite and the Hittite and the Amorite and the Perizzite and the Hivite and the Jebusite, to a land flowing with milk and honey.
They will pay heed to what you say; and you with the elders of Israel will come to the king of Egypt and you will say to him, ‘The Lord, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us. So now, please, let us go a three days’ journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the Lord our God.’ But I know that the king of Egypt will not permit you to go, except under compulsion. So I will stretch out My hand and strike Egypt with all My miracles which I shall do in the midst of it; and after that he will let you go. I will grant this people favor in the sight of the Egyptians; and it shall be that when you go, you will not go empty-handed. But every woman shall ask of her neighbor and the woman who lives in her house, articles of silver and articles of gold, and clothing; and you will put them on your sons and daughters. Thus you will plunder the Egyptians.

Saul: Come on everybody, let’s go. (The two armies get up and start yelling at each other. Then Goliath swaggers in).
Goliath: Hey, did you Israelites come here to fight Philistines? Well here I am – a real live Philistine. You guys pick somebody tough and have him fight me. If he kills me, you win the war. Of course if I win, then we win the war. Ha ha! (The Israelites run away from Goliath).
Israelite 1: Did you see that guy? He’s ten feel tall. And that spear is as big as a telephone pole. Goliath: Chicken! Every last one of you is chicken!! Israelite 2: King Saul has offered a big reward for anyone who fights him – and wins. David: Somebody should go out there and fight him.
Eliab: What are you doing here, David? You just want to see a battle! A lot of help you’re going to be!
David: King Saul, I want to fight that giant. Saul: Are you kidding? You’re just a kid, and Goliath has been a soldier all his life.
David: I’ve killed lions and bears when I was taking care of my father’s sheep. God saved me from them, and God will save me from Goliath. Saul: All right, you can do it. Here, you can use my armor. (David puts on Saul’s armor. He can hardly walk, it is so heavy).
David: I’m not used to all this. I’ll do it my way. (David takes the armor off. He bends down and picks up some stones). Goliath: Can’t you come up with anybody better than this? I’m gonna kill you dead, boy.
David: You’ve got a sword and spear, but I’ve got God on my side. God will help me and show the world that He is all anybody needs. (Goliath raises his spear. David throws a rock with his sling and hits Goliath. Goliath falls down. David takes Goliath’s sword and cuts his head off).
David: Look, you Philistines. We’re beating you because God helps us. (The Philistines run off with the Israelites chasing them)
e. Daniel Daniel in the Lion Den
Setting: Babylon (in CedarS Camps Bible Lands Park)
Bible: Daniel 6
Characters: • Daniel • King Darius • Advisor 1 • Advisor 2 • Guards [non-speaking]
Costumes: Take a peek in Antioch in CedarS Bible Lands Park
Narrator: There once was a man named Daniel who was the right hand man to King Darius. The other King’s advisors became jealous of Daniel and looked for flaws they could use against him.
Advisor 1: Daniel drives me up the wall! We need to find something he does wrong so we can get rid of him.
Advisor 2: But he never does anything wrong! He’s perfect because he never does anything bad, he doesn’t cheat, he’s constantly alert, and he’s always faithful.
Advisor 1: That’s it! We’ll make his faithfulness a weakness by making King Darius pass a law that will require all subjects to worship the King. Daniel will break the law because he will want to remain faithful to his God.
Narrator: They went to King Darius to put their plan into action.
Advisor 2: Yo King Darius what up? King Darius: Excuse me?
Advisor 2: I mean, your highness, we have a new law for you that will show everyone your power. King Darius: Do tell.
Advisor 1: You are an amazing king, so you should make a rule requiring everyone to worship you and only you. If anyone doesn’t, you should throw them into a lion’s den to show your power.
King Darius: I love it! Make it a law now!
Narrator: Daniel heard of the law, but was a man of faith. He continued to worship and pray to his God three times a day in broad daylight in a room with all the windows open. [Daniel goes down on his knees to pray and worship] The conspirators walk in on Daniel praying to his God and report the incident to the king.
Advisor 2: You know how you made a law requiring everyone to worship you and only you?
King Darius: Yes
Advisor 1: You know how if anyone were to break that law that they would be thrown into the lion’s den?
King Darius: Yes of course. Why do you ask?
Advisor 2: Daniel breaks that law three times a day, therefore you must throw him into the lion’s den.
King Darius: What!?! Nooooo! Can’t I pass a law to save him?
Advisor 1: Once a law is put into place, not even you, oh King can change it.
Narrator: They waited until sundown, but unfortunately, Daniel was captured and thrown into the lion’s den. The king shouted to him:
King Darius: Daniel, I know that your God will protect you!
Narrator: The rock to the den was sealed and the guards and king returned to the palace. The king couldn’t sleep or eat. He kept worrying and hoping Daniel would be alive the next day.
King Darius: [worried expression] I hope he’s ok.
Narrator: As soon as morning came, the king went to check on Daniel and shouted down to him:
King Darius: Daniel? Are you okay? I really hope your God was able to protect you.
Daniel: Bless you, King! God sent an angel to protect me, and because I had done nothing wrong against you or him, the angel shut the lions’ mouths, so that they couldn’t hurt me.
King Darius: Guards, get him out of there immediately! Find those that advised me to make that awful law and throw them into the pit! How dare they trick me like that! From now on, my loyal subjects should worship Daniel’s God
