BALLON HEAD

Organize players so that they’re into pairs and each team receives a partially inflated balloon. When the game starts, teams must race to a finish line carrying a balloon between their heads, remember don’t use your hands. On hot days try it with water balloons or through a sprinkler. You can even try an obstacle course.

CROSSING THE STREAM

Use chalk to draw two lines to represent a stream. Vary the width, with banks nearly touching in some places, widening to no more than 4 feet. Mark the spots where children demonstrate the ability to jump across. Try running leaps. Try jumping with feet together. Have children yell something fun when they jump, such as, "Geronimo!"

HOOPERS

On the ground, place 1/2 as many hoops as the number of children. Children stand outside the hoops. On the command "Run" the children run around the area without touching anyone or the hoops. On the command "Hoopers" each child must find the nearest hoop to jump inside. Vary the actions outside the hoops

TAG

The basic rules to Tag are quite simple. All you need is a group of kids and a decent sized backyard. One person is designated as "it", and that person runs around and tries to touch someone else. If they succeed, the person they touch is now "it" and tries to chase everyone else. The game continues until everyone is exhausted.
